Comets for a Cause

posted Jan 13, 2016, 6:33 PM by Angela Sims

This week students at Casar Elementary celebrated "Spirit Week" to raise money for North Carolina Special Olympics. Special Education teachers Megan Ezell, Anita Horn, and Kalisa Norman will be participating in the Cleveland County Polar Plunge for the second time.  Their team, Comets For A Cause, is raising money to donate.  Students were asked to bring quarters to participate in days such as Crazy Hair, Pajama, Hat, and favorite sport team day.  So far the students have raised over $300 to support not only Special Olympics athletes from Casar Elementary, but all over North Carolina.  On sport day, our school was filled with Panther pride. Students, teachers, and administration were all excited and involved in this weeks activities.
